Portugal, Amora, 11th-17th October 2015

In these days the 6th transnational meeting of the Accepto programme  took place in Portugal. I was lucky to be there with Alexandros and our teachers as well as lucky to see Vienna, one of the most beautiful european cities during our flight.

Spending time with the hosting families we had the opportunity to talk to each other about our habits and traditions. I felt that they were interested about my country and its culture which I think of as a sign of true hospitality.

We visited the school, located in an open area, where we, the students, attended lessons and presented the videos that we had prepeared for the Accepto programme.

Apart from it, we visited a lot of places and had many activities such as the finding of the lost treasure in Lisboa, where we saw the  Mosteiro dos Jeronimos and the Arco da Rua Augusta. We learned a lot about  the sightseeings,  the history and the cultural identity, which made me realize that Portuguese people are alike Greek people, full of difficulties but proud of and  commited to their tradition and culture. Unfortunately, the time was not enough to see all we could.

There are many memorable things of this meeting, one of them is the relation between the groups of students. We felt very close to all the groups but mostly to the Swedish and most of all the Portuguese students who were enthousiastic and happy welcoming us to their country so I hope that I would be able to visit this beautiful country again in the future.
